Six 6-Month Favourites

I cannot believe how fast half a year of my baby’s life just flew by! When they say they grow up fast, they really do mean it. However, they do not mention that time speeds through like never before.

To celebrate 6 months of being a mama, I would like to share with you six 6-month favourites that I could not have lived without, literally.

1. Skip Hop Diaper Bag

This bag is so versatile! I literally do not even remember the last time I carried a purse, but it was definitely, before I had baby. I love how it has so many compartments; you don’t have to worry about leaving anything behind! We also travelled when baby was 2.5 months and this bag was an absolute lifesaver! It was literally like a lightweight carry-on luggage because it held so much for baby, which made travelling super easy on the plane.

2. Philips Avent Bottle (4 oz/125 mL)

This cute little bottle is so easy to travel with because its does not require much space. I received this bottle through Thyme Maternity’s welcome kit and just had to purchase another one because of its convenience. It holds the perfect amount for baby when they are this small. I also use this bottle to pump my milk in, which provides a good benchmark for how much milk baby will have for each feeding. The nipple on this bottle is also great because it is designed to be breast-shaped, so you have no trouble to combine breastfeeding and bottle-feeding. Even though this bottle is plastic, you can be rest assured that it is BPA free!

3. Water Wipes

These wipes are literally a lifesaver! When baby was born, we used to use the Huggies Natural Care Wipes, however she developed a rash due to sensitive skin. As I was looking for wipes with no chemicals, I came across these as I was watching Mimi Ikonn’s and Real Leyla’s favourites videos. I instantly bought a pack from Amazon and they were beyond amazing! If you fast-forward to six months later, these wipes are our ride or die. They are 99.9% water and 0.01% grapefruit seed extract making sure that these wipes are hypoallergenic, fragrance free and alcohol free. If you ever try these, you will never be disappointed, I promise!

4. Sudocrem

I initially received a sample of this also through Thyme Maternity’s welcome kit, have been purchasing it since then, and use it daily as baby’s diaper cream. This cream is so good that it can be used for many reasons such as treating diaper rashes, cuts, grazes and minor burns, acne and eczema. I also purchase this from Amazon and let me tell you, a little goes a long way! This cream is super soothing and healing as it reduces the loss of tissue fluid due to the zinc oxide. It is also hypoallergenic, fragrance free, and contains anti-septic properties that help reduce discomfort. Literally, the best cream ever!

5. Philips Avent Orthodontic Pacifier (0-6 months)

Often times, you hear so many people being judgemental about giving babies a pacifier. However, let me tell you, there is nothing wrong with giving your baby a pacifier. Plus, you do you! If you are looking for a pacifier for baby, these are a great choice. These pacifiers are BPA free, made with durable soft silicone, and support natural palate development. These come in a pack of two and with a cover to ensure that your pacifier stays clean. In the photo, you will see that I have my pacifier in a case because we lost our cover, but still great a pacifier. Remember to not forget to purchase a new set of pacifiers (6-18 months) when baby turns 6 months old.

6. Huggies Diapers

Diapers – a necessity for babies indeed. Honestly, I do not know about baby, but Huggies are my favourite diapers! Huggies literally hug the babies bum, are super soft, and gentle. They are also the best for protection, especially when baby is a little mover, like mine. I also love the colour indicator on the diapers that lets you know when its time for a change. Something super simple, but literally makes a difference in comfort for baby.

Let me know if any of these products are on your favourites list? If you have any favourites for baby post 6 months, let me know in the comments below!

Sarah
