Sephora #Lipstories Lipsticks Review

If you’re interested in beauty, you’ve probably noticed all over the beauty category on social media networks how much of a big deal it is was for Sephora to launch their #Lipstories lipstick collection. Quiet frankly, I don’t blame them!

If you know me, then you know that I’m not really into lipsticks, but when this collection launched, I absolutely fell in love ❤ First of all, spending tons of money on a lipstick has never appealed to me; especially when you have to commit yourself to keep re-applying just to have it on for the day.

So why did I end up getting these lipsticks? Well, for just $10 CAD you get a highly pigmented and lightweight lipstick that provides full-coverage color in one swipe. These lipsticks are available in 40 shades and three finishes: matte, cream, and metal – so guess what, there’s something for EVERYONE!

These lipsticks glide on like butter and they are so creamy and hydrating too! I also love that when the lipstick does wear off, it looks like you applied a lip tint – so for the price point it doesn’t just “come off” – you know what I mean? The colours that I got are:

  • Deep Water Bay
  • Popsicle
  • Pineapple Extress
  • Desert Trip
  • Berry-licious

And rest-assured I’ll be getting a lot more!

Now let’s talk about the packaging. Each shade is packaged with an image that reflects the name, which is super cute. The material isn’t what you’ve seen – not the classic lipstick tubes. The #Lipstories lipstick packages are cardboard and plastic tubes, but for the price point and cute design, it’s worth it. Yes, I did say cardboard, but they are absolutely durable – tested and approved by my 9.5 month baby.

ps: if you are a Sephora Rouge member, then save the date! July 29th is National Lipstick Day and you can get 25% off lipsticks – so tell me another day you’ll be able to get the #Lipstories lipsticks for just $7.5 CAD…yup that’s right!

If you’ve tried the #Lipstories lipsticks, let me know the name of the shade.
